With God’s continuing assistance, I will not live on the shallow plasticky surface of life. In the tension is where I want to be.
Interstitial. Living in the interstices, in the space between. The space between birth and death, heaven and earth, discipline and freedom, God’s sovereignty and my responsibility, modern and post-modern, citizenship in the Kingdom of Heaven and residence in the U.S.A, living as a new creature with a new nature and warring against the fleshly remnants of the old person….etc

I am not a Christian, but I couldn’t agree with you more. Absolute relativism is a contradiction in terms. It cannot stand in concept or form. However, contradictions can be synthesized to recapture the meaning that is lost.
All God’s creatures are God’s and deserve respect as they act to realize God’s creation. All people, of whatever faith, need to reclaim the moral basis of religious truth. Love thy neighbor as thyself. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Let’s build the future together in God’s love, not destroy God’s creation in individualistic or religious self-righteousness.
